We believe that we have may well have the best Food and Drink of any German Christmas Market in the south of England - and well beyond !
For an appetising – not to mention filling – experience do try eating ‘on the market’ as the Germans say. Indulge yourself and taste some ( or even all, but not on the same day ! ) of these wonderful, culinary delights on your next visit to the Market
Schwenkgrill & Bar. Glühwein
Once again we invite you to enjoy the incredibly-popular Bratwurst ( be it Krakauer or Thuringer ) from our centrally-located Schwenkgrill. To warm the cockles we offer hot drinks including traditional, Christmassy, German Glühwein and to slake your thirst try a really-refreshing, imported glass of German beer. Please do note, however, that we will require proof of age where applicable and that, by law, beer may not be drunk outside the designated Bar area. Guten Appetit u Pros’t !
Lebkuchen, Chocolate-coated Fruits, Roasted & Caramelised Nuts, etc
For something sweet try Andree Langenscheidt’s Stand. He offers delicious chocolate-coated fruits ( bananas, strawberries, etc ) and scrumptious, roasted and caramelised nuts – as found at every Weihnachtsmarkt in Germany. Decorate your Christmas tree with traditional Lebkuchen Hearts or striped Candy Canes – and then eat: Yummy !
Hamburgers from Hamburg !
Need we say more ! And, of course, you should try the German Chips made from imported German potatoes – recommended
Freshly-baked Brezeln filled with Savoury Foods
Baked while you watch, these amazing, Oktoberfest-sized Pretzels will satisfy the most rapacious of appetites ! As an alternative, try a cheese-coated Brezeln. Eat ‘on the market’ or take home

Stefan Schäfer’s Gemüßepfanne

Salamis, Salamis, Salamis
Creating the perfect aroma for any German Market. A great selection of German, Austrian, etc salamis to grace any dinner-table as a really tasty appetiser or meal
German Haribo & German Sweets
For a sweet sensation and a slightly unusual ( not to mention extensive ) variety of gorgeous sweets do visit this stall which is located at the northern end of the market to be found immediately beside Santa’s Grotto. Pick ‘n’ mix – so buy as much or as little as you wish
