The Southampton Weihnachtsmarkt returns for its sixth successful year to bring German Christmas festive cheer to Southampton residents and visitors. You can find this festive institution directly outside the principal entrance to West Quay Shopping Centre in the pedestrian sector of Above Bar Street. Click here for directions and map

You can find hundreds of interesting and unusual gifts and food so make sure you come down and experience everything from exotic hand-crafted items and interesting present ideas. If you are pushed for time why don’t you eat “On the Market” as the Germans say. With no fewer than 10 excellent German Food Stalls offering an extensive variety of high-quality, fresh and tasty foods, you will definitely not go hungry ! Market entertainment includes two funfair rides for the children complimented by a programme of Christmas and secular musical events to be staged on the Central Circle

You can visit the Southampton German Christmas Market every day from Saturday 21st November until Wednesday 23rd December.
Christmas Market Opening Hours: 10.00am - 6.30pm with late night opening every Thursday during December. Please note, Sunday Trading Laws apply.
Grand opening
There will be a ‘Grand Opening’ by the Mayor of Southampton, Cllr Elizabeth Mizon at 11.00am on Saturday 21 November. The opening will feature a performance from a traditional German Band and a special appearance from the Town Crier.
